My artworks intuitively respond to the recall of experience and memory of place. Created in a non-objective style and formed as a visual dialogue between gestural marks and geometric shapes and forms, this ever-changing process employs a symbolic language between the expressive nature of emotion and the logic of reason. These abstract works also draw inspiration from musical improvisation, particularly jazz. Both have a form but finding the line where risk taking meets clumsiness is often hard to locate. These works seek to find a closeness to that line.
