Yesteryear Tours at Mont De Lancey

Ever wonder what it would be like to live in the 1880s? Our YesterYear tour highlights the comparisons between a modern home and the pioneer Homestead. See if you can guess what rooms are missing. How would you manage without hot water, electricity, phone, internet, car and many other conveniences? As the Tour progresses around the property you will walk through the beautiful gardens set in lawns with stunning trees including a magnificent 100 year old oak. There’s also Montys Tearoom for light lunches and refreshments.

The Gully Market

The Gully Market is a long established market that runs every Saturday and Sunday in the carpark of the Upper Ferntree Gully Train Station. Drop in on the way up (or the way down) the mountain and stretch your legs as the Gully Market has lots of craft stalls, fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and home made goods.

Belgrave Lantern Parade

The annual Belgrave Lantern Parade is a highlight in the local event calendar, with thousands of hills residents marching their lanterns, small and big, up and down the main street. It marks the midst of winter in our cycle of season, but most importantly it heralds the turning point and the new beginnings as we turn toward Spring and the blossoms of the Hills that are just around the corner. We welcome everyone, far and wide to join us for a fun evening of street performers, food stalls and community fun.
